Public health services that promote health and prevent disease for area residents through all of life's stages

Rabies Control - Information and investigation of animal bites

Other health protection subjects covered include:

vaccine preventable diseases
control of infectious diseases
emergency planning
pandemic planning
vector borne diseases, such as Lyme disease and West Nile Virus
tuberculosis control
environmental health
opioids and overdose

Food Safety Conducts regulatory inspections of all retail, service and institutional food premises to assess compliance with Food Premises Regulation under the Health Protection and Promotion Act

Safe Water Monitors community drinking water systems, public bathing beaches, splashpads, wading pools, public pools and hot tubs and provides information on water quality testing and potential health effects

Smoke and Vape-Free Living Enforces the Smoke-Free Ontario Act through inspections of enclosed workplaces, public places, schools and other places required to be tobacco and cannabis smoke-free and vape-free
