Food and Healthy Eating Eating is about more than food and can look different from person to person. Choose foods for enjoyment, culture, preferences, traditions, budget, health, and celebrations:
  • enjoy a variety of foods, including foods found in Canada’s Food Guide
  • include plant-based foods like beans, peas, pulses, vegetables, and fruits
  • pay attention to feeling hungry and full
  • cook and eat with others more often
Canada’s Food Guide can help:
  • lower risk of heart disease, diabetes, certain types of cancer, and osteoporosis
  • have a healthy pregnancy and baby
  • provide the nutrients for children need to grow and develop
  • have more energy and feel good

Smoke-Free Ontario and Tobacco Control Enforces the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017 through inspections of enclosed workplaces, public places, schools and other places that are required to be smoke- and vapour-free * regulates the sale, supply, use, display, and promotion of tobacco and vapour products (e.g., vapes, e-cigarettes, and e-substances), and the smoking and vaping of cannabis
