Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care
|Description of Services:||
Nurtures hope and discovery by supporting the recovery journey of people affected by mental health and addiction challenges and their families of choice by: providing peer support and working directly with patients/clients and family members * providing information and education regarding life choices, self advocacy, recovery, self determination * presenting the client's & families perspective on local, regional and provincial committees * partnering to provide services to Waypoint Centre for Mental Health by bringing a client based perspective in the development and evaluation of Waypoint Centre's policy recommendations, overarching committees and task groups.
Also provides supportive volunteer opportunities and employment opportunities to Mental Health and Addiction consumers and is linked to consumer suvivor initiatives across Ontario.
|Eligibility - Population(s) Served:||Those with direct experience as a client/family member of mental health services|
|Application:||There is no application process for support services. Individuals interested in becoming actively involved with the Council should call for further information.|
